MOON SERIES
Site-Specific Project
The Moon Series redefines the way we engage with art, dissolving the boundaries between object and environment. Rather than drawing all focus to a central piece, these works invite viewers to embrace the entire space as part of the artistic experience. Here, the artwork is not the focal point but a conduit—what surrounds it holds equal value, transforming the site itself into a living canvas.
Each piece in this series is meticulously crafted, its surface layered with natural textures—pumice, sand, plaster, and encaustic—before being enhanced with acrylics, oils, and varnish. The result is a work that feels as though it has emerged from the earth, evoking a sense of timelessness. These creations carry history within their textures, emotions within their forms. They do not depict scenes or stories but instead embody the raw essence of existence.
The round, moon-like forms resonate with their surroundings, amplifying the beauty of everything around them. Though subtle, their presence is profound, quietly demanding attention not by standing apart but by harmonizing with their environment. Just as the moon’s light enhances the night sky, these works reflect and elevate their space, becoming more meaningful when seen in the context of their surroundings. They shine not alone, but in concert with the world around them, embodying the idea that true presence is felt, not seen.
