Toronto, ON – January 13, 2025 – Avant Garde Gallery presents In Bloom, In Between, a solo exhibition by Toronto-based artist Angela Kim. Opening on February 6th and running through February 27th, the exhibition showcases a compelling series of abstract works that delve into the emotional depth of nature and the complexities of personal transformation.

In Bloom, In Between invites viewers to experience the tactile richness of Kim's art, characterized by heavy textures and bold, intricate brushstrokes. Drawing inspiration from natural elements and her personal journey, Kim’s pieces evoke themes of growth, healing, and introspection. Each work captures the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength, inviting audiences to explore the transformative spaces where life’s most profound changes occur.

About the Artist Angela Kim is a visual artist and independent curator based in Toronto. Her work is celebrated for its masterful use of texture and earth-inspired tones, seamlessly blending abstract forms with deeply personal reflections on identity, mental health, and the natural world. Through her art, Angela explores the emotional landscape of the human experience, using texture to convey depth and meaning. She is currently completing an artist residency at Avant Garde Gallery.
